Work in Campus
International students will not be able to work outside the campus unless you have obtained a special Visa to do so. There are many places that international students could go to work such as dorms, dinning hall, PMU, or even working as an assistance in your related major. It’s not hard to try to get a job, and with the new rule by the government now, only students who is trying to apply for a job could gain Social Security, a crucial thing to have.

Here are some links that you could go to find out more about it.

Credit transfers
It is quite simple; some of the new students have credits transferable from their previous school/university. All you have to do is have all the paper works from previous school/university and ask your advisor about it, the advisor will help you through it all.

Classes
Freshmen classes are quite common for all majors. From Chem, Math, English, Com classes to even Econ classes. Here is a link for brief introductions of classes here in Purdue. It also includes the scheduling of classes which you could see if you would like to change schedules.

Changing class schedules
To change your class schedule you will need to go to Schleman Hall or Hovde. http://www.purdue.edu/campus_map/areas/ghi_456.html (A map showing SCHL and HOVD)

You will be allowed to change it only 1 week before the class starts till the end of the first week of the classes. To change it, simply record your current class time division number and the division number of the class time you want to be in, write it down in a piece of paper that they will provide you and your ID card for them to swipe.

Warning: Remember, if you are trying to change more than 1 class in one day. If one of the time of class is full or unavailable, regardless the other classes you try to change nothing will change. So an advice: Go and change class schedule 1 class a day.

Internships/CO-OP Internship is an excellent way to gain experience. There will be a job expo in September (http://pesc.student-orgs.purdue.edu/fairs/) and February; there you could find internship or job for you to do during summer. Academic Career Day will be held before the job fairs to help you preparing for it. Helpful tips on resume building and interview skills are available upon request. Contact us for further details. (Let me know if you want the file) Past Exams Past exams on certain classes may be available, send an email for any inquiry.
